The purpose of this APMP Micro-Certification is to measure whether a candidate has sufficient knowledge and understanding of the APMP Body of Knowledge (BoK) to act as an informed member of a bid and proposal team with regards to writing effective executive summaries. This Micro-Certification provides recognition for APMP best practice, and the essential skills required to create compelling executive summaries.

  • Who should get the ES micro-certification?

    It's aimed at bid and proposal writers and managers and others who write in their roles, like sales, business development and subject matter experts.

  • Are there any pre-requisites?

    No. You don't even need to be an APMP member (but it costs more if you're not).

  • What is the exam like?

    It's an online exam that has 25 questions of different types. They all look at the Body of Knowledge topic of Executive Summaries.

  • How long is the exam?

    The exam is in English. If your primary language is English you get 30 minutes. If English is a second language you get 38 minutes.

  • Will there be a proctor like Practitioner?

    No.

  • If I fail can I take the exam again?

    Yes, if you pay for the exam again (no waiting period). Most people who fail say they know they did not study enough, so make sure you're ready and try the sample exam.
